Vice President of Sales & Marketing

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for directing the dealer sales and development of company products and services in the United States. The VP of Sales and Marketing will develop and implement sales strategies and forecast sales volumes for all dealers in the domestic market.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Developing and implementing effective reseller recruitment strategy.

  • Creating awareness and demand for the company products and services, identifying potential

    reseller needs and interests, and effectively communicating benefits and opportunities available

    to meet needs and interests.

  • Meeting reseller recruitment quota as set by President

  • Analyzing reseller capacity throughout the country to pinpoint activities to match recruiting

    efforts

  • Maintaining a reliable communications mechanism with internal personnel to ensure efforts are

    in line with objectives

  • Selling the company’s dealership capabilities, including finding, generating, and developing new

    distribution partners in order to sell products to end users

  • Supporting new dealer/reseller development and expanding existing dealers within the

    distribution channel

  • Developing new dealers and expanding existing resellers

  • Calling on prospective distributors, providing technical and administrative product information

    and demonstrations, and quoting appropriate customer prices

  • Preparing quotes and contracts for potential resellers

  • Maintaining all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred

  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Well-developed presentation skills

  • Excellent customer relationship skills

  • Organized with an ability to know reseller activities and status on an ongoing basis

  • Basic understanding of sales technology, services, and product

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with resellers

  • Flexible, creative, and able to work in a non-structured developing work environment

  • A demonstrable capacity to think “outside the box”, communicate and motivate resellers on the company’s products, programs, and new  ideas

  • Experience in developing and recruiting a reseller distribution channel preferred

  • Knowledge of various recruiting and/or relationship sales techniques
