Business Development Officer (Armed)

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Criminal Justice, or a related field
  • Must be able to obtain or possess required licensing per state requirements for Missouri, Arkansas, and any county requirements as needed
  • Must possess a current and valid driver’s license

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • Must possess one or more of the following
    • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
    • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
    • Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
    • A minimum of 8 or more years of active service in any military branch
    • Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google Applications

  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

Other

  • Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable
  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Indoor and Outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity: Walking, standing, speaking, listening, and observing

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting; Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.

Responsibilities

Specific Duties and Essential Functions include:

  • Primary liaison between company and client senior management
  • Account management; provide supervision to the Site Supervisors; oversee disciplinary processes; oversee the staffing of security officers to ensure efficient scheduling is in place; oversee that contract-required training and screening elements for security officers have been met, quality assurance and contract compliance; manage excessive overtime; typing correspondence, developing spreadsheets and memorandums; oversee records maintenance processes per PHOENIX HOLDINGS GROUP client; inventory and purchase all PHOENIX HOLDINGS GROUP equipment
  • Ensure that Phoenix Holdings Group, is providing quality service to our client(s) and that this account is operated in a manner consistent with established policies, contracts, and applicable laws; maintain an active, strong client relations program by making frequent personal visits to discuss any problems or recommendations for the improvement of service provided
  • Review alarm system open/close reports, compile exception reports and forward to appropriate personnel
  • Provide client with timely, appropriate communication to make sure that their needs are being met; regularly review the services that are being provided and actively seek ways of increasing service; offer assistance to client to meet their changing needs and schedule; troubleshoot to identify and divert any potential problems • Administer PHOENIX HOLDINGS GROUP Safety Program; semi-annually review and revise the security Emergency Response plan; and monitor compliance with regulatory and fire prevention requirements to include safety items assigned by the client.
  • Conduct and document monthly testing of security systems; follow through on any corrections/maintenance issues
  • Assess need for additional training of employees and communicate needs to Training Manager; provide specific training for site supervisors requesting training updates for employees under their supervision.
